Greetings
We would like to announce that the "Japanese Society for Home Hemodialysis" has changed its name to "General Incorporated Association, Japanese Society for Home Hemodialysis" and completed its corporate registration on March 31, 2020. Turning into a corporation has been our long-sought desire, which was essential for us to make proposals and share opinions with responsibility for the dissemination of home hemodialysis in Japan.
Upon turning into a corporation, we recruited young people with leadership, who have a wealth of experience in the practice of home hemodialysis in Japan, as directors of the society. In the future, we will have each director organize committees with clear missions, make activity plans with clear deadlines. Meanwhile, we will evaluate the results of such activities and distribute on them in various ways. We would like to ask all the members of the society to join the committees and actively provide ideas for our future activities.
At the same time, we started to publish "Journal of Japanese Society for Home Hemodialysis" this spring. This is an on-line journal that serves as a platform for publishing academic conference records, which have previously been published in “The Japanese Journal of Clinical Dialysis,” in the form of full articles. From now on, we will keep records of the activities of various committees in the form of articles rather than leaving it unrecorded. Given that this is an on-line journal, developing various ways of using this media (e.g., Q & A section) will be possible in the future. We would greatly appreciate helps from all the members in enhancing the quality of this journal.
In collaboration with all of you, we wish to further disseminate home hemodialysis to contribute to the improvement of QOL and long-term survival of dialysis patients in Japan. Home hemodialysis is one of typical forms of health care in the 21st century, which is being established through discussion between medical professionals and patients. Through the dissemination of home hemodialysis, we wish to foster good relationships between medical professionals and patients.
We look forward to your continued active participation in our activities.
